10 Foods you Should Never Eat

1. Fruit Juice

Sure, raw and organic fruit juice won’t kill you every once in awhile, but for those of you drinking this every day or very often for a snack or at breakfast, you should probably stop. Most fruit juices are pasteurized, meaning there really is not much nutritional value. There is an abundance of glucose, so drinking this often will cause your blood glucose to fly through the roof. The amount of sugar, even if it is natural sugar, is a ridiculous amount, as with an 8 oz glass of apple juice, you are consuming basically your entire day’s fruit servings. In an 8 oz cup of apple juice, you are really having about 4 apples - would anyone eat 4 apples in a day, never mind in a SITTING? Try to think before you put this in your body.

2. Microwaved Popcorn

Microwaved popcorn is easy to prepare, don’t get me wrong, but when you hear the secrets of it, taking a few extra minutes to prepare a healthier way won’t sound so bad. PFOAs cover the bags that you microwave the popcorn in, which has been found to be related to causing cancer. No, it doesn’t stop there - the butter on the popcorn is fake, and it has a compound that has been linked to lung diseases if it is excessively inhaled. 3. Margarine

Anyone want cardiovascular disease or clogged arteries? Really, no one? Well, you should probably stop eating margarine since it is created with trans fats. Those are just a few problems trans fats could cause, as the list goes on with type II diabetes and so on. Studies have found that saturated fats are good for you and your cholesterol, but, margarine is low in saturated fats. So, why are you still eating margarine?

4. Vegetable Oils

Vegetable oils such as canola oil are genetically modified. For those of you who don’t think that means anything, foods that are genetically modified and hydrogenated are related to cancer, diabetes, birth defects, obesity, liver problems...I could go on, but I think I’ve scared you enough. Bottom line is stay away from vegetable oils! Instead, try olive or coconut oil.

5. American Cheese

“American” is in the name - is that good or bad? Well, to answer the question, it’s bad because it’s fake. Sure, it looks like cheese, but it is really made from odd items like milk fats and food coloring, according to Beth Warren. This makes it very high in two things you don’t want your foods to be high in - sodium and fats. So, stick to some other cheese, like swiss, if you need to eat some.

6. White Rice

Eating this delicious side dish can make it difficult for some to lose the weight that the white rice makes your body store as excess fat. While it is delicious, there isn’t much nutritional value in white rice. Yes, you can still eat rice, just not white. A healthy alternative that will make you feel more energized and full is brown rice. 7. Diet Soda

You’re right, there is no sugar in diet soda. But, is that all that matters? It tastes good, or else you wouldn’t eat it, so what exactly makes it taste so good? Well, to start, there are artificial sweeteners, which have been linked to type II diabetes, obesity, and other health related issues. There are also chances of depression and tooth decay with the consumption of the sweeteners. Try to avoid any sodas from now on.

8. Table Salt

In the process of creating table salt, it is wiped of its natural minerals, such as iodine, and then switched with potassium iodide that could be toxic if used in an abundance. Did you know that table salt is purple but bleached white? So, to say the least, it is fake. Oh, and did I mention it is known to cause hypertension. Now, go ahead and eat some salt, but just make sure it’s sea salt, which is the original one.

9. White Bread

Ever eat white bread and feel like you haven’t ate anything in days just hours after? Well, there is no nutritional value in this, and is loaded in sugar content. This causes you to gain excess weight, something that I’m assuming you don’t want. Solution? Whole grain or wheat bread. Still tastes good, but is much more nutritious for you. 10. Conventially Grown Apples

Yes, I am telling you that apples aren’t your healthiest choice. Now, I’m not saying you can’t eat them, I am just saying that organic ones are the much better choice. The conventionally grown ones have pesticides on them, even after they are washed. These pesticides are linked to cancer and brain damage. Organic apples don’t taste much better and are much healthier, so next time at the grocery store, think twice about which apple you want.
